Leah Laramee is the State of Hawai‘i Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Coordinator. She leads the state efforts on Climate Change action, coordination, and policy through the State's Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Commission, a multi-jurisdictional effort between 20 and Environmental Management. Her decade-long career at the State's Division of Forestry and Wildlife, Department of Land and Natural resources has grounded her in an 'āina (land) approach to climate change, looking at holistic system level solutions to address climate challenges. Leah is the Governor's Office representative for the US Climate Alliance and the Governor's efforts to reach a legislatively set goal of becoming a net carbon sink by 2045.
