The Maui Nui Youth Futures Hui continues with a focus on the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. Learn about the progress and hurdles of indigenous in 2024 and discuss how we can learn from indigenous voices across the world. The Hui is bringing critical global conversations into context here at home in Maui County, and equipping our youth with the tools to build a sustainable and just world.
We are inviting youth from 12 years old to 25 years old from across Maui County to join the Maui Nui Youth Futures Hui, an innovative program designed with the goal of increasing youth involvement and encouraging proactive action towards fostering a sustainable Maui County. Our mission is to cultivate a generation of informed leaders who are ready to tackle the challenges of tomorrow with creativity, courage and a deep commitment to preserving the natural and cultural heritage of Maui Nui.
